Stage 2: Las Defradas-Monesteriu
The inhabitants of this region have used a great part of the area for cattle industry. That explains traditional constructions like the pasture of La Siel.la. The apiculture was also really important. In the mountains there are ‘cortinos’ to protect the hive from the bear.
Marked paths along wide mountains will allow you for seeing the Muniellos Nature Reserva.

At summer, the cattle breeders of the region lead the cattle up to the higher pastures. If you go on this hike at summer time you could find at the path some cows grazing around the pastures.
